" Giving freedom to children to be creative,
developing their IMAGINATION that they have…

Shaping individuals who are more solution-oriented, responsive,
flexible, intelligent, and skilled in their respective fields."

Palakali Creative's contribution to the world of education began in 2007, when a designer and artist active in the field of education, Ary Okta, had a vision to create a child-friendly and nature-close creative space. This dream was realized together with her husband, Adi Surya Triwibowo, on a 1500m2 land by establishing the Saung Palakali Creative Art Community.

As an interior designer and architect, Adi designed Saung Palakali with a biophilic concept: a building integrated with nature. The area, which used to be a rice field, was transformed into a small forest with various plants and trees. Two twin randu trees planted since 2007 at the beginning of its establishment, now stand tall as witnesses to the journey of Saung Palakali in Tanah Baru, Beji, Depok.

The presence of Saung Palakali Creative Art Community was received with enthusiasm by the community, from young to old, students to practitioners.

In 2020, Saung Palakali Creative Art Community transformed into Palakali Creative, with the motto "being creative keeps moving, the spirit keeps growing."
